Central's Vision and Mission Statement
Where We Are Going
Our Vision is to Make GOD Known in Livingston and Polk County by striving to become a caring, culturally and economically diverse community that seeks to connect lives to Christ through a clear witness for Christ, quality ministries, and the lifestyle of each believer.
In pursuit of that vision, our Mission is to Make GOD Known through the following:
•Worship - We envision an increasing number of people gathered weekly for the passionate and experiential worship of Almighty God. We see the completion of a new sanctuary where 1,000 worshipers will gather every weekend.
•Evangelism and Discipleship - We envision an active Bible Study ministry designed to provide an opportunity for every person in Livingston and Polk County to respond to Christ. We will equip believers of all ages to develop into mature Christians through the in-depth enjoyment, study, and application of God's Word.
•Fellowship - We envision fellowship among believers that promotes a deepening relationship with Christ and with one another.
•Ministry - We envision every believer engaged in the discovery, development, and exercise of his/her spiritual gift(s) for the purpose of using those gifts to minister to the needs of the
community and the congregation.
We envision believers involved in a hands-on mission experience locally, nationally, and/or internationally.
•Prayer - We envision a Prayer Ministry where every believer will have the opportunity to learn
more about prayer and engage in meaningful, corporate prayer at some time during the week so
that we may confess our dependence upon God and seek His power for the advancement
of His Kingdom.
•Love - We envision a church body where God's grace is understood and extended to every
person. We see a place where hurting people can find love, mercy, and patience. We see a place
where people are free to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ based on Biblical
principles rather than man-made external rules.
